Sadly, not everything you need in life can be made out of wood. Sometimes you just need a bit of metal to get things to work. These pizza cutters are a new addition to the range and are a serious bit of kit. With a sharp 4-inch diameter wheel, they will tackle the deepest of deep-filled pizzas.As with the bottle-openers and magnifying glasses, I try to keep the handle design very simple so as best to show-off the wood.
This one is from a particularly attractive piece of Dogwood.

Since they incorporate a bought-in item these bottle openers are usually made to order.This means that you can, if you wish, have them custom made to suit your preferences regarding woods and designs. My own preference is to use a very special piece of wood and keep the design simple, so that the wood is the star.

A very good friend of mine used to work in Africa, back in the 1970's. When he returned to England he brought with him several large pieces of this beautifal Ofram (or Limba) wood, in order to make a table. The offcuts from that project remained in his garage until he moved house recently and he was kind enough to let me have them.Being perfectly dry, they were the ideal choice from which to make this hinged box.
So, definitely not local wood, but very pretty none-the-less.
